LAKE SYNEVIR

The pearl of Transcarpathia is the high-mountainous Lake Synevyr, which is 30 km from the hotel. This is the largest and deepest alpine lake in Ukraine with an area of about 7 hectares, which was formed 10 thousand years ago at an altitude of 989 meters above sea level. Synevyr is rightly considered to be the most precious natural treasure of the Synevyr National Nature Park and is one of the hallmarks of the Ukrainian Carpathians.

Excursions

WATERFALL HISS

The Shipot Waterfall is a real natural wonder hidden among the mighty mountains and forests, 30 km from Mizhhiria, near the village of Pylypets. It fascinates with its picturesque cascades of water falling down from a 14-meter height. You can admire the fountain at any time of the year, even in winter, when the steep cliffs are covered with snow. However, the waterfall is most beautiful in springtime, as the snow melts in spring and makes it even more violent and full of water. Since 1993, an annual festival of informals called Shipit has been held here.

GEMBA MOUNTAIN

Hemba is one of the highest mountains (1491 m) of the Polonyna Borzhava massif and one of the most beautiful places in Transcarpathia. In summer, colorful carpets of grasses stretch everywhere on its top, and the mountain itself is surrounded by a dense beech forest. And in winter, Hemba welcomes visitors with the longest Ukrainian ski slope, approximately 3.5 km, which is accessed by 8 lifts at once. One of the most famous waterfalls in Ukraine, Shipot, is located on the northern slopes of the mountain.

The oldest, the 14th century Upper Castle, was reconstructed in the 17th century and is located at the very top of the mountain. It offers picturesque views of Mukachevo and the surrounding area. The Middle Castle of the XVII century stands 6 meters below, on a terrace. 10 meters lower is the Lower Castle, which was completed in 1670. On the territory of Palanok Castle there is a well where, according to legend, if you throw a coin and make a wish, it will definitely come true. You can also make a wish come true if you hold the finger of the sculpture of Prince Koryatovych, one of the former owners of the castle.
